In this article, we’ll cover how to beat the Ceruledge ex Drop Event in the fastest and most efficient way possible, so let’s dive right in.

Ceruledge ex Drop Event (Beginner)

Battle Task

MissionReward
Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Darkness-type PokémonPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 4
Put 3 Basic Pokémon into playPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 4

This one is an easy one as always so just run any Darkness-type deck you have. Just remember to put 3 basic Pokemon in the board to fulfill the other mission as well.

As for the deck choice, the Darkness type cards of Paradox Drive can be a little bit underwhelming and slow as well so we're just going to take one of the best Darkness decks which is Zoroark but I will add in the Weasel package to have some Paradox Drive cards. You may notice that it is not 12 Paradox Drive cards for later but no need to worry since we will change strategy later.

The idea is to just blitz through the opponent using Zoroark early on by evolving Zorua and deal up to 90 damage for only 1 energy as long as you have a full bench. Weasel can be your backup damage dealer if Zoroark isn't online. Darkrai ex is for additional damage if needed. Roaring Moon can be used like Sabrina to swap your opponent's active Pokemon, do note that it only works on the turn that it is put to the bench. But at the same time if you don't have full bench, Zoroark can only deal 60 or 80 damage with weakness added.

If you don't have this deck, you can run any Darkness deck you have or use a rental deck like Zoroark.

Put a Stage 1 Pokémon into playPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 4
Win this battle with 2 or more Paradox Drive cards included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 2

We will now start using Paradox Drive cards from here onwards so we will just go back to the deck we used earlier and it is also featuring a Stage 1 so no problem there too.

As for how to play the deck, check the earlier sections of the guide.

Ceruledge ex Drop Event (Advanced)

Battle Task

MissionReward
Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Darkness-type PokémonPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4
Do 100 or more damage in total to your opponent’s Pokémon with one attackPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4
Win this battle with 6 or more Paradox Drive cards included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4
Win this battle without your opponent getting any pointsPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4

As usual, we will need a Darkness type for the first mission using the same deck again and has already 6 Paradox Drive for the third mission. We can also deal 100 damage+ since the enemies has Darktype weakness letting Zoroark deal 90+20 damage.

The fourth mission or the win without your opponent getting any points can may take some multiple retries if you don't get Zoroark early.

As for how to play the deck, check the earlier sections of the guide.

Ceruledge ex Drop Event (Expert)

Battle Task

MissionReward
Win this battle without any Pokémon ex included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Do 100 or more damage in total to your opponent’s Pokémon with one attackPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Win this battle with 12 or more Paradox Drive cards included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Win 5 or more battlesPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Win 10 or more battlesPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5

You may notice that we don't need a Darkness-type deck anymore so we will have to ditch our Zoroark deck. We now have to use a deck without an ex and also have 12 Paradox Drive cards. The best one so far is the Iron Valiant Iron Boulder deck since it is highly synergistic and has a lot of damage for a non-ex deck.

The deck operates by having an Iron Valiant or two to reduce the cost of your attacks. Iron Crown is the best starter since it only needs 2 colorless energy so 2 Iron Valiant can make its attack basically free. Iron Crown is also the best damage dealer initially to remove Mimikyu's Disguise first. Then start charging energy of either Iron Boulder or Iron Leaves for their higher damage. Peculiar Plaza which the opponent also run can let you easil swap any of your initial Pokemon or even Professor Turo especially if you started with Iron Boulder or Iron Leaves. As long as you remove Mimikyu's Disguise, everything can be managed easily especially with Iron Boulder with a Future Booster. Since the deck is also non-ex, you can let 2 Pokemon get knocked out while waiting for your other Pokemon.
