In this article, we’ll cover how to beat the Mega Medicham ex Drop event in the fastest and most efficient way possible—so let’s dive right in.
Mega Medicham ex Drop event (Beginner)
Battle Task
| Mission | Reward |
|---|---|
| Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Psychic-type Pokémon | 4 |
| Put 3 Basic Pokémon into play | 4 |
How to Beat it
The opponent's deck is composed of Fighting and Colorless but we will just prioritize the Knock out mission with a Psychic type so just choose any deck of yours that have a Psychic type and make sure to knock out it. It is also important to put 3 Pokemon in the board to fulfill the other mission as well.
As for the deck choice, I have two Psychic decks depending on the availability of you collection because we will need multiple Fantastical Parade cards later on.
For how to play the Mega Altaria deck, putting energy priority on Swablu then evolving it to Mega Altaria is usually just the main win condition since Mega Altaria is enough to take down most threats and survive as well. Gourgeist is just there for backup damage. Meloetta can be important in the Active Zone early on since it searches your other Psychic Pokemon especially Mega Altaria and then it can be retreat for free by Peculiar Plaza.
As for the Mega Gardevoir ex deck, evolving Ralts into Mega Gardevoir as soon as possible is the goal either through Kirlia or Rare Candy. It will also be your main damage dealer alongside Indeedee. Meloetta can stall in the early game while waiting for Mega Gardevoir which can be retreated easily with Peculiar Plaza again.
Mega Medicham ex Drop event (Intermediate)
Battle Task
| Mission | Reward |
|---|---|
| Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Psychic-type Pokémon | 3 |
| Put a Stage 1 Pokémon into play | 4 |
| Win this battle with 2 or more Fantastical Parade cards included in your deck | 2 |
How to Beat it
We are just using the same decks again since we do run Kirlia for the Mega Gardevoir deck while also fulfilling the 2 Fantastical Parade cards in our deck. It is very important to play Kirlia or Mega Altaria or you won't be able to fulfill the stage 1 Pokemon mission.
As for how to play the deck, check the earlier sections of the guide.
Mega Medicham ex event (Advanced)
Battle Task
| Mission | Reward |
|---|---|
| Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Psychic-type Pokémon | 4 |
| Win this battle with 1 or more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex included in your deck | 4 |
| Win this battle with 6 or more Fantastical Parade cards included in your deck | 4 |
| Win this battle without your opponent getting any points | 4 |
How to Beat it
The two decks we are using all fulfill the requirements including having Mega Evolution and 6 Fantastical Parade alongside being a Psychic. As for how to play the deck, check the earlier sections of the guide. Try not to let your opponent take a point by evolving Mega Altaria or Mega Gardevoir as soon as possible to tank hits. Sabrina can be clutch on swapping out Mega Medicham if it ever goes out.
Mega Medicham ex Drop event (Expert)
Battle Task
| Mission | Reward |
|---|---|
| Win this battle without any Pokémon ex included in your deck | 5 |
| Win this battle with 12 or more Fantastical Parade cards included in your deck | 5 |
| Win this battle with 1 or more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex included in your deck | 5 |
| Win 5 or more battles | 5 |
| Win 10 or more battles | 5 |
How to Beat it
Considering there is a mission of not using any Pokemon ex included in our deck, we will use a different deck for that later on but our two decks from earlier all fulfill the requirements including the 12 Fantastical Parade. If you are missing some of the cards, you can easily replace them with anything from your collection since all you need realistically just now is to have a Mega Evolution in your deck so even having only Mega Altaria with Swablu alongside different Fantastical Parade Pokemon cards is enough to win the game on its own. Just remember to set your energy to Psychic. And again Sabrina can be clutch on swapping out Mega Medicham if it ever goes out.
As for the win without using any Pokemon ex, you can easily do it with any of your non-ex decks or you can check our decks with no-ex as format. Do note that Mega Medicham hit through Oricorio so we might want to avoid using Oricorio if possible. I will just show this sample of Hydreigon deck since it is the best non-ex deck we have for now.
