Premium Pass

The Premium Pass in Pokémon TCG Pocket is the “battle pass” or subscription equivalent purchase of the game. Once purchased, it is valid for one month which allows players to open one extra booster pack per day (equivalent to 30 packs for $10 USD), as well as get access to exclusive cosmetic rewards and promo cards!

In addition, players are also able to sign up for a free trial for 14 days which equates to 14 additional booster packs, obtain Premium Shop items. Here’s everything you need to know about the Premium Pass!

Overview

1. You can open one more pack every day: A new pack stamina gauge will be added which will let you open one additional pack every 24 hours.
2. You can take on premium missions: Premium missions will be unlocked. By taking on these missions, you can get promo cards and other items.
3. First two weeks at no cost: First-time subscribers to the premium pass may use it a no cost for two weeks.

Trial

You can try the premium pass plan at no cost for 14 days. When you purchase the premium pass for the first time, you must first experience the no-cost trial period. The no-cost trial period is only accessible once per Apple Account or Google Account. Those found in violation of this policy may be banned from using the service.

When your no-cost trial ends, you will automatically be charged for a continued premium pass subscription unless you cancel automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the no-cost trial period ends.

If you cancel the trial before you are charged, you still keep the benefits for the full 14 days!

Missions

Every month, the Premium Pass Missions will refresh allowing players to obtain Premium Tickets to redeem at the Shop.

Shop

Use the Premium Tickets obtained from the Premium Missions at the Shop. Items rotate out every two months, allowing you to obtain them if you missed out on the previous month.

Review

The Premium Pass does give more value over time to players who choose to support the game due to the additional 30 booster packs for $10, over directly purchasing Poké Gold. While the Premium Missions and its associated rewards are also a nice bonus, they can completed very quickly (especially for new accounts) and offers little in terms of content.

At the very least, the trial should be picked up by everyone at some point when you want to obtain the Premium Shop items (which rotates every two months) and the promo-9-pikachu promo card is a nice bonus (but not a “must” have card).
