Ranked Match Season A3 – Ranking Guide & All Rewards

The second Ranked Match Season starts shortly after the release of Celestial Guardians (A3)! Each season will last about a month, and trainers can battle against players of similar skill levels from around the world, and receive an emblem based on their end-of-season rank for display on their player profile.

How Ranks Work

  • Players go up in rank based on the points you get when you win battles.
  • At the end of each season, players get an emblem and Pack Hourglass based on their rank. There are 17 tiers of ranks and rewards.
    • Beginner Rank 1−4
    • Poké Ball Rank 1−4
    • Great Ball Rank 1−4
    • Ultra Ball Rank 1−4
    • Master Ball Rank
  • In Master Ball Rank, players in the top 10,000 by rank points will have their ranking displayed.
  • You can get additional rank points by winning consecutive battles (in ranks up to Great Ball Rank 4), as listed below.
    • In Beginner Rank 1−4, you will not lose rank points when defeated in battle.
    • In ranks up to Great Ball Rank 1, you will not drop down in rank as a result of being defeated in battles.
    • In Master Ball Rank, players in the top 10,000 by rank points will have their ranking displayed.

Matchmaking

  • Players will be matched with opponents based on the rank they are in.
  • Note: At certain ranks, players will sometimes be matched with AI opponents.

Notes

  • Availability periods and details are subject to change without warning.
  • By doing at least one ranked match battle during the season, players will be counted as having participated in the season, and will be able to get final rank rewards after the season ends.
  • The period during which final rank rewards can be claimed is the same as the results announcement period for a season.
  • If players participate in a ranked match season and earn rank points, the number of points they start the next season with will be based on that previous season’s points.
