Knock Out your opponent's Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Metal-type Pokémon | ![]() |
Put 3 Basic Pokémon into play | ![]() |
How to Beat it
If your mission requires winning with a Metal-type Pokémon, and you're facing Water-type opponents (which are weak to Metal or Lightning), A2-111 A2-053 is one of the most effective and straightforward options to use.
This deck runs only Metal Energy and is built for simplicity and efficiency. The ideal start is with A2-111 — attach any Tool card (such as A3-146 or A2-147) to enable its 50-damage attack. From there, evolve A2-051 into A1-098, which can accelerate Lightning Energy to itself via its Ability. Once you’ve attached two Lightning Energy this way, evolve into A2-053, then attach one more Energy manually to begin attacking for 110 damage.
If you don’t have access to A2-120, A2a-060 is a suitable alternative. Similarly, if you’re missing A3-146, an additional A2-147 can be used without issue.
For the mission that requires you to Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon once with an attack from a Metal-type Pokémon, A2-111 alone is often sufficient to complete the requirement — especially against beginner AI opponents. Just be sure to have three Basic Pokémon in play to meet all mission conditions; rotating through A2-111 and A2-051 is an effective approach.
Lastly, note that winning the match is not required — it's more efficient to complete all the mission conditions first before finishing the match, allowing you to clear the goal using only 1 stamina.

Knock Out your opponent's Active Pokémon 2 times with an attack from a Metal-type Pokémon | ![]() |
Put a Stage 1 Pokémon into play | ![]() |
Win this battle by turn 14 | ![]() |
How to Beat it
You can use the same A2-111 A2-053 deck from the beginner guide above for this mission. Feel free to refer to that section if you’d like a more detailed explanation of how the deck functions — the overall strategy remains the same.
This time, the mission requires you to Knock Out 2 Pokémon using a Metal-type Pokémon, so bringing A2-120 can help you secure additional knockouts more efficiently. If you're also aiming to complete a Stage 1 Pokémon mission, consider placing A1-098 in the Active Spot before evolving it into A2-053, allowing you to fulfill that requirement first.
The objective to win within 14 turns is very manageable with this deck, as it has strong early-game tempo. Additionally, including A1-223 is particularly effective for knocking out low-HP Pokémon (such as 60 HP targets) in a single attack, helping you close out the mission more quickly.

How to Beat it
For the mission that requires you to win using only Pokémon of ♦, ♦♦, and/or ♦♦♦ rarity, you can continue using the same A2-111 A2-053 deck, as it features only non-EX cards. For full details, refer to the earlier sections of this guide.
This challenge can be more difficult — especially if the opponent opens with A3-049, which poses a significant early-game threat. However, as long as you charge up A1-098 early and evolve into A2-053, you should be well-positioned to control the game.
For the mission to win without the opponent scoring any points, this can be more challenging with a non-EX deck. In that case, consider switching to a bulkier option such as a deck built around A1-023, which offers more staying power and can better sustain through healing and defensive options.
Lead with A1-021, evolve into A1-023, and focus on tanking damage while healing using cards like A1-219 and PROMO-001 to prevent knockouts and deny your opponent any points.

How to Beat it
This mission is very similar to the advanced challenge, so you can apply the same strategy outlined in the previous section. Start by using the A2-111 A2-053 deck to fulfill the non-EX rarity requirement, then focus on meeting the condition of not allowing your opponent to score any points.
While the A1-023 deck is a solid choice for this task, if you’re finding it too slow or difficult to manage, consider switching to a A2b-007 A3-020 list.
In this build, you’ll generally want to start with A2b-005 and evolve it into A2b-007, either through A2b-006 or directly with A3-144. A2b-007 serves as your primary attacker, especially effective against threats like A3-049. A3-020 functions as your backup damage dealer, also evolving via A3-144 — so be careful not to lose your A3-018 early.
The gameplan is centered around evolution and sustainability. With the deck’s built-in healing options, you can often outlast the opponent’s resources while denying them any knockouts.
