a1a-56-druddigon is a sick card. This new Dragon-type Pokémon is a basic Pokémon with 100 HP and a dual-energy Dragon Claw attack that hits for 90 damage. What truly defines this card is its Rough Skin ability, which will deal 20 damage back to the Pokémon who attacks it. a1a-56-druddigon holds massive potential as a late-game tank. The more hits he's able to survive, the more value you'll get from his Rough Skin ability

Deck List

Flexible Swaps

a1a-32-mew-ex is a solid upgrade to this deck if you have a copy or two of it. This card provides a strong finisher in the late game against powerful opponents like a1-262-mewtwoex and a1-280-charizardex, which could have been challenging matchups in the past if everything didn't align perfectly.

Tauros from the Mythical Island expansion is a strong inclusion for decks targeting EX-heavy opponents. Its Fighting Tackle attack deals 120 damage to EX Pokémon, offering a powerful counter with a 'mid-range' requirement of three colorless energy. As a Basic Pokémon, it provides immediate offensive pressure, making it ideal for aggressive or EX-counter strategies while a1a-56-druddigon tank some damages. If the current META features many EX Pokémon and you're getting bored meeting them while playing versus mode, Tauros can be a valuable asset.

These a1a-56-druddigon decks emphasizes a defensive approach, leveraging high-HP basics and strategic abilities to chip away at opponents while minimizing risk. The addition of cards like a1a-68-leaf improves retreat options, allowing flexibility in switching strategies mid-battle. a1-89-greninja’s Water Shuriken ability adds another layer of strategy, dealing 20 damage to opponents' Pokémon, setting up easy knockouts for Flareon or Druddigon.

Looking at a1-45-flareon, it only requires one Fire energy, and the other two are colorless. It deals 110 damage, and with the 20 damage from Rough Skin or a Water Shuriken, you can easily KO several Pokemon. You can take down Celebi (as it's Grass-type), Mew EX, Pikachu EX, and many more around 120 - 130 HP. If Rough Skin and a Water Shuriken hit Mewtwo EX, you can also KO it. For example: If your opponent's Mewtwo EX knocks out your Druddigon, this will leave Mewtwo EX at 130 HP - Proceed using Greninja's Water Shuriken reducing its HP to 110, allowing Flareon to finish it off with Flamethrower.

Both a1a-67-blue and promo-1-potion are particularly valuable for 100 HP Pokémon like Druddigon, as it allows them to withstand hits that would otherwise knock them out. By preventing key knockouts, Blue lets Druddigon stay in play longer, maximizing the value of its Rough Skin ability. This extra survivability is crucial for setting up damage breakpoints, allowing follow-up attacks from Greninja or Flareon to clean up opponents efficiently.
