In this article, we’ll cover how to beat the Mareep Drop event in the fastest and most efficient way possible—so let’s dive right in.

Mareep Drop Event (Beginner)

Battle Task

MissionReward
Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Fighting-type PokémonPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 4
Put 3 Basic Pokémon into playPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 4

The opponent's deck is composed of Lightning and Colorless Pokemon which are weak to Fighting. So you can run your any Fighting deck of your choice for now. We can run the old Lycanroc Rampardos for easy Auto battle but we will change this later on for the future requirements.

The other option is a Mega Lopunny deck since it is a Fighting deck but will also fulfill future requirements later on. The only important Pokemon is the Mega Lopunny line, you can fill up with other Fighting if you want.

The goal is to simply search and find the Mega Lopunny line and evolve into Mega Lopunny which will be enough to take down your opponent's Pokemon. It is also sturdy enough to survive a lot of hits and the guaranteed Confusion to the enemy makes it also for the enemy to attack.

Mareep Drop event (Intermediate)

Battle Task

MissionReward

Put a Stage 1 Pokémon into playPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 4
Win this battle with 2 or more Crimson Blaze cards included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Event Hourglass 2

I would now just recommend playing the Mega Lopunny deck since you now need 2 Crimson Blaze cards. For full details, refer to the earlier sections of this guide. You can still run another deck here with 2 Crimson Blaze cards.

Mareep Drop event (Advanced)

Battle Task

MissionReward
Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 1 time with an attack from a Fighting-type PokémonPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4
Win this battle with 1 or more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4
Win this battle with 6 or more Crimson Blaze cards included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4
Win this battle without your opponent getting any pointsPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 4

It is now required to play a Mega Evolution Pokemon and with 6 Crimson Blaze cards, your options are much more limited this time and the Mega Lopunny deck fulfill these requirements. The opponent is still easy at this point with Dubwool still can be one shot by a single head from Mega Lopunny partnered with Lucarion. For full details, refer to the earlier sections of this guide.

Mareep Drop event (Expert)

Battle Task

MissionReward
Win this battle without any Pokémon ex included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Win this battle with 12 or more Crimson Blaze cards included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Win this battle with 1 or more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex included in your deckPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Win 5 or more battlesPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5
Win 10 or more battlesPokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Hourglass 5

The difficulty spikes up against the Expert opponent due to now having Mega Ampharos ex which not only is tanky but also hits hard to your bench. Since it now requires 12 Crimson Blaze cards, the Mega Lopunny deck isnt enough to fulfill this requirement. I recommend switching up to a Magnezone Heliolisk deck since the deck is highly competent enough while still able to fulfill this requirement. You evolve Magnemite into Magneton and then Magneton charges energy on its own so that you can manually attach energy into Heliolisk especially that it discards all energy after attacking. Magnezone + Heliolisk is also enough damage to knock out a Mega Ampharos. You use Clemont to find your Magneton and Heliolisk.

This deck also fulfills the win with a non-ex Pokemon in your deck leaving you to only finish the Mega Evolution one. You can also use this deck to finish the earlier missions and play another Mega Evolution.

As for the Mega Evolution mission. You can play with any Mega Evolution deck you have or play the Mega Lopunny deck we used earlier. The opponent uses a Cyrus so be wary of retreating a Mega Evolution and expect that it can get Cyrus later on so finishing quick must be high priority.
