a1a-32-mew-ex is an essential partner for a1-245-pidgeot and a1a-79-pidgeot-ex in this deck. Its versatility as a self-sufficient tank helps buy time for setup while also countering specific threats like Mewtwo ex and Charizard ex decks. With three energy of any type, a1a-32-mew-ex becomes a reliable finisher (it's really bad against Pikachu ex decks though).

This deck’s variation featuring Fighting energy and two copies of a1a-47-marshadow is a brilliant tech choice to counter Lightning-type threats like Pikachu ex decks. a1a-47-marshadow can efficiently one-hit KO most Pokémon in Pikachu ex deck variants, aside from Zapdos ex, providing a solid answer to an otherwise challenging matchup. Deck Guide

Running both versions of Pidgeot—base a1-188-pidgeot and a1a-59-pidgeot-ex—adds incredible adaptability to your gameplay. Regular a1-188-pidgeot's Drive Off ability allows for tactical repositioning, while a1a-59-pidgeot-ex’s Scattering Cyclone ensures consistent high damage output.

This flexibility keeps opponents guessing and struggling to counter your evolving board state. The synergy between these evolutions is further amplified with Trainer cards like a1a-64-pokemon-flute, which boosts a1a-59-pidgeot-ex’s damage, and a1-223-giovanni, providing additional attack power to swing critical matchups in your favor.

Closing

Thanks for reading my Pidgeot ex deck guide! One of the standout features of all listed deck variants for a1a-79-pidgeot-ex are the clever split between normal Pidgeot and Pidgeot ex, creating a strategic dilemma for opponents.

Base or normal a1-245-pidgeot excels at punishing opponents with small benches by forcing active switches, disrupting their setup. On the other hand, a1a-79-pidgeot-ex thrives against opponents who overextend their bench, leveraging Scattering Cyclone to deal massive damage. The inclusion of a1a-64-pokemon-flute synergizes beautifully with both Pidgeot forms, enhancing their effectiveness in different scenarios.
