Upcoming Major Pokémon TCG Pocket Events

Pokémon TCG Pocket became a huge hit after its official release in October of 2024. Millions of people globally downloaded the game in the first month alone. Since then, the game has been regularly updated with new packs, promo cards, and events. Pokémon TCG Pocket has surprised its fans with unannounced releases a few times. But the developers aim to keep the schedule predictable when it comes to new content. They encourage fans to follow special drop events, new wonder pick cards, and themed booster picks.

For now, digital packs don’t serve any betting markets. Like most games, Pokémon TCG Pocket runs various special events that might become available on the best betting site in the future. To make things easier for fans, we have listed the upcoming events in 2026.

Slowpoke Drop Event

The Slowpoke Drop Event will take place on April 9 - 19, 2026. A new pack will feature the latest trading cards like Shiny Mega Gengar ex and Shiny Mega Charizard X ex. With more charm and power, they promise to make the play more exciting. Shiny Pineco, Shiny Ponyta, Shiny Zorua, and Shiny Dragonair will also add a super touch to the collection.

Players can join the Slowpoke Drop Event to participate in solo battles and collect promo cards from Promo Pack B Series Vol. 6. They can then use those cards to build stronger decks that improve their performance in matches. For example, Shiny Mega Gengar ex helps players destroy opponents, while Mega Charizard X ex focuses on high-damage attacks.

Wonder Pick Event (Mega Kangaskhan)

Wonder Pick Event is the 16th event in the game to take place on April 17 - 27, 2026. It is themed around the Pokémon Pawmi and Paldean Clodsire, adding a new pair of special promo cards. Players need to complete special missions like Collect 1 Pawmi promo card, Collect 1 Paldean Clodsire promo card, Wolnder Pick 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 times. They can also complete Wonder Pick and Collect Darkness and Lightning Cards.

During the Wonder Pick Event, players will be able to exchange existing items like Arven, Field of Adventure, and Sinedust for new cosmetics. This event is an excellent way to show off their competitive decks and test their strategies against rivals.

Elite Deck Gift Missions

Elite Deck Gift Missions represent a collection of special missions to collect a variety of items throughout the game between January 30 and April 27. These events are available for the duration of the event. Once it has passed, the gifts won’t be there to claim. Each mission promises a unique reward. For example, players can get Mega Blaziken ex for Reach player level 3 and Pack Hourglass for solo battles with the Elite Deck (Mega Blaziken ex) rental deck.

Players can complete simple objectives to unlock Pokémon, Trainers, and Energy. Any of these cards can help strengthen the private collection without focusing on pack pulls. The whole thing is perfect for newer players who need an extra boost for the play.

Handy Card Collection Missions

Handy Card Collection Missions allow players to earn Trainer cards like Copycat and Giant Cape between January 30 and April 27. To collect those cards, players can complete special tasks, expand the toolkit, and eventually boost the battle strategy. Expanded formats will let players walk away with exciting prizes such as foil cards and badges. This event is a great way for players to reveal their competitive decks and apply different strategies.

During the event period, players can tackle special missions to stand out. They can find a lot of new items in the shop. The selection of items includes Mimikyu, Poké Gold, and some accessories. Some of them are available for an extra charge.

30 Days of Gifts

Pokémon TCG Pocket is celebrating Pokémon's 30th anniversary between February 27 and June 27. It will be giving special gifts over a period of 30 days within 4 months. Gifts will bring special cosmetic items themed around Pokémon 30. These include Fantastical Parade Booster, Mega Rising (MegaBlaziken) Booster, Deluxe Pack ex Booster, Wonder Hourglass, Shinedust, and many others.

Pokemon TCG Pocket will also include special resources such as 360 Pack Hourglasses, 96 Wonder Hourglasses, 72 Trade Hourglasses, and 9,000 Shinedust. Playmat, Card Sleeve, Coin, Cover, and Backdrop represent unique accessories that aim to spice up the whole play. The event aligns with the release of the "Paldean Wonders" expansion, which means even more gifts and new features in the future.

What to Expect from Pokémon TCG Pocket Events

Pokémon TCG Pocket announced significant in-app updates. A new message function was integrated into the app in January. Players can now choose between set messages, which help decide whether they’d like to trade for a wishlisted card or a card in a different language. Players also have the opportunity to participate in a random battle each time an opponent’s deck comes as a surprise before the battle.

The list of Pokémon TCG Pocket Events may have some updates in the near future. There might be even more drops in the summer and autumn. So far, players can enjoy the upcoming cards to build the best decks. They can pull some incredibly rare cards along the way. The spring schedule of 2026 is packed with exciting events for fans, offering a combination of competitive play, rewards, and challenges.
